Episode 41 – Celebrating Over 100 Years of Theatre at the Paramount with Jim Ritts

The Paramount and Stateside Theatres are a historic Austin treasure. Over a hundred years and hundreds of thousands of performances the theatres have featured acts from legendary magician Harry Houdini to modern comedy legend Weird Al Yankovic. The theatres are no strangers to the world’s most talented performers, and none of these unforgettable shows would have been possible without the Austin Theatre Alliance. The Austin Theatre Alliance is the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that manages the Paramount and Stateside Theatres. The Theatre Alliance oversees everything from maintaining the theatre’s historic interior to booking guests. The Austin Theatre Alliance strives to engage all Central Texans through extraordinary live performances and films with performers and speakers from all around the world.

In this episode, Charlie and Kyle sit down with Jim Ritts, the CEO of the Austin Theatre Alliance, to talk about the history and mission of the theatres.
