In 1990, Out Youth formed when two graduate students at the University of Texas in Austin discovered in their research that the best way to support LBGTQ youth was through peer facilitated support groups. As of today, Out Youth has changed over 10,000 people’s lives by creating a safe space for youth ages 12 to 23 in Travis County and the five surrounding counties.

In this episode, Caroline & Kyle chat with Kathryn Gonzales, Out Youth’s Operations and Program Director, about the non profit’s residential unique drop-in center, the overwhelming volunteer support in the community, as well as the many events put on by Out Youth.
