Gearing up for Austin Nonprofits

This week marks a very important change here at Everyday Superhumans. When we started the show we began with the mission of promoting the people behind the causes helping out their community. We wanted to showcase the Everyday Superhumans in our world, and that you don’t need to have superpowers or a lot of money to save the world. Our journey took us to many small business owners like bar owner Donny and Gatorman Tim, and nonprofit directors like our residential humanitarian badass Jonathan and the Bayou Beerman  Joel, but we weren’t sure which ones we wanted to focus on exactly. But now we have an answer: Austin Nonprofits!

Well after much discussion, Caroline and I decided that we want to become the show about Austin nonprofits. There are so many nonprofits based out of Austin, each with a unique and meaningful causes we want to focus on. From Honk!TX bringing the party to the streets, to The Yellow Bike Project providing affordable bikes to everyone, and Austin Pets Alive! for making Austin the largest no-kill city in the entire nation. We want to bring their messages to the spotlight and raise your awareness of the many ways Austin is giving back.

We are going through a lot of changes here as well, we will be playing with the format a bit to see what you, the dedicated listener, like. I personally plan on writing more blog posts on things from the inner workings of a nonprofit, to updates on events coming up from featured or soon to be featured nonprofits, and more!

If you have any guest suggestions, work for a nonprofit based out of the Austin area, or just want to provide feedback, please feel free to reach out to us at EverydaySuperhumans@gmail.com.

We are very excited about this change, and we are happy that you all are along for the ride as we get to know Austin’s nonprofits! Stay super everybody .:)
